Biking Technical Vocational High School hosted the District Meet on September 14, 2024 with the theme “Dauis Rising beyond Limits, Fostering Friendship, Advancing Boundaries, Defining Excellence in Sports”.
Despite the bad weather, the opening program was pushed through. Hon. Samson H. Bolos, barangay captain of Biking, delivered a warm welcome to all the participants while Dr. Ma. Robilla O. Espejo, principal of BTVHS, recognized the participating teams: CABISIDA, ENSCIMA, MACENTOMAR, and SONGTITABI.
The Municipal Mayor, Hon. Roman Bullen, delivered an inspiring message, followed by the Oath of Amateurism, led by the Provincial Meet athlete in dance sports, Kuincy Cinconiegue. On the other hand, Palarong Pambansa athlete in swimming, Jobim Pialago; Lawn Tennis Provincial Meet bronze medalist, Anna Mae Daw-it; Lawn Tennis CVIRAA player, Niña Zuleikha Villarias, took part in the lighting of torch and the Athletic urn of unity, symbolizing the start of the meet.
Dr. Carlito A. Fuentes Jr., Public Schools District Supervisor, officially declared the opening of the District Meet 2024.
The Meet showcased not only the talent of the student athletes but also their strong will and determination to win every fight.
