The Division of Bohol conducted a four-day training-workshop on ukulele and rondalla for Music Teachers at Biking Technical Vocational High School from September 6-9, 2025, making the school more vibrant and lively during the event.
A total of 121 participants attended the program, with 55 joining the rondalla training and 66 participating in the ukulele workshop from different schools all throughout Bohol.
The activity was organized as part of the continuous effort to enhance teachers’ skills in teaching music.
The training aimed to help teachers improve their teaching strategies and deepen their appreciation of Filipino music.
On the first day, the registration was done in the morning and the opening program followed in the afternoon which was hosted by Ms. Jean “Basic Harmony” Saturninas.

On the succeeding days, the activities became more hands-on as participants performed and practiced various Boholano folk songs.
Among the songs studied were “Ang Dalaga sa Baybayon,” “Kasadya,” and “Pasayawa Ko Day,” which highlighted the importance of local music.
The different sessions were facilitated by Mr. Harry James B. Lucero, Ms. Emerald Marie Caguisa, Mr. Alvin Jabilles, and Ms. Nelia Adecer, who helped enhance the participants’ musical skills.
On the last day of the training, the participants held a performance attended by key officials of Bohol Division: Dr. Fay C. Luarez, Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Eduardo A. Ompad, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent; and Dr. Jeanylette C. Ayson, Supervisor in MAPEH.
