The school was buzzing from the first whistle to the final game as students and faculty gathered in the covered court for the annual School Sports Competition held on July 25, 2025.
The opening ceremony began with a colorful parade of teams as the Blue Panthers, Yellow Falcons, Red Bulls, and White Panda showcased their banners and team cheers, while Mr. Angelito Bulala warmly greeted the audience and Mrs. Virgilia Fullido introduced each team as the crowd clapped and cheered along with every yell.
The much-awaited Mr. and Ms. Sports Icon was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Ruckny and Monaliza Virtudazo, where the contestants displayed their personality and confidence.
The segment also included a hip-hop showdown and a school jingle contest where the Blue Panthers won and received thunderous cheers from the crowd.
In the end, two outstanding contestants took the spotlight, with Carl Daguplo winning Mr. Sports Icon and Kuincy Cinconiegue claiming Ms. Sports Icon.
The afternoon was filled with basketball, volleyball, badminton, billiards, athletics, sepak takraw, and swimming, and each game had students cheering, laughing, and shouting for their teams.
The Blue Panthers was declared as the overall champion, standing out not only for their talent but also for their teamwork and sportsmanship.
The 2025 School Sports Competition was more than just a series of sports events as it truly embodied what teamwork, camaraderie, and sportsmanship is, and from the first cheer to the final buzzer, students showed their school spirit, their friendship, and the kind of team spirit that makes BTVHS feel like home.
