Biking Technical Vocational High School demonstrated excellence and determination as its student contestants Juvan Linke, Kate Jhanel Sabijon, Yaneza Anne Cabuag, and John Reymar Taghoy, guided by coaches Mrs. Monaliza Virtudazo and Mrs. Jackylyn Arjona with chaperone Mr. Marvelous Arjona, competed in the Regional PAMES CASIO Math Challenge 2025 – High School Edition held at Mandaue City Central School on Saturday, September. 20, 2025.
The competition opened with a short program: DepEd Quality Policy statement, followed by a welcome message from Dr. Jaime P. Ruelan, CID Chief SDO – Mandaue City, acknowledgment of participants by Mr. Cesar A. Restauro Jr., Regional EPSvr – Math, rationale by Dr. Emiliano Elnar Jr., Chief Education Supervisor – CLMD, words of wisdom from Dr. Salustiano T. Jimenez, DepEd Region 7 – Regional Director, and Dr. Bianito A. Dagatan, SDS Mandaue City Division, the reading of mechanics by Mr. Aaron John Mariones, Academic Coordinator CASIO Education Philippines, and the presentation of room assignments and proctors by Dr. Jocel A. Beduya, EPSvr Math SDO – Mandaue City, setting the stage for an organized and exciting competition.
During the contest proper, BTVHS student contestants were assigned to rooms according to their grade level competition. While they did not secure the victory, they expressed gratitude to their coaches and school for believing in their abilities and efforts.
The competition highlighted the hard work and determination of the student contestants and their coaches, eventhough they did not claim the top spot.
